The Beginning...

The start of my creative journey began when I met my other half at the age of 30. My dreams blossomed amidst the simple joys of our life together. As a child, I dreamed of teaching others. In adolescence I would be happiest when I was styling my bedroom or outfits. Each of these moments sculpted me into who I am today.

By the time I met James, I had almost forgotten my creative spark. He spent two years helping me find it again. We created Lily Chic Events when our twins were only 6 months old. At first, we thought we would hire out products for events. While we were freating our website images, the creative spark ignited. Others in our creative industry wanted to work with us. We created the most beautiful parties and events that our work was featured in magazines, US blogs and even on Martha Stewarts Website!

We purchased Olivers Alma Cottage in 2012. This was a 5 acre parcel of land with a 100 year old cottage and was a dream of ours. Gardening was always a passion of mine. I had completed a Garden Design Course in my 20's and had always wanted to create a cottage garden. Immediately after moving in, James and I set about making this property ours. We painted, laid hard wood floors, upgraded fittings and fixtures and cut down many trees so we could see the massive dam from our kitchen windows.

Discovering Passions

As life meandered through its intricate pathways, I stumbled upon my passions – the kindling flame that ignited my heart and soul. Perfect Pear Workshops was born from my childhood love of teaching. Seeing the growth and confidence of others when they learn a new skill is a happiness I cannot describe. The creative classes James and I hosted on the farm was a dream of ours. This dream lasted 3 years. We closed down the business in 2023 leaving our weekends free again to do what we were always pulled to...travel.
